Our team is unique and our providers include: International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLCs), Breastfeeding Medicine Specialists/Pediatricians, Certified Lactation Counselors (CLCs) and a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist (CBS).  Involving our experienced pediatric physicians, allows our center to bill your insurance company directly for both you and your baby's care.  You will both be assessed and leave with an agreed upon plan of care to improve your feeding/pumping experience.

With all of the education and experience of our providers, you’re guaranteed to find a provider that best fits your needs! They can help you with latching your baby without pain, engorgement, oversupply, increasing your supply, supplemental nursing systems, assessing your baby’s suck and oral anatomy, performing frenotomies (ie tongue/lip tie releases), assisting with special needs children, pumping, prenatal one-on-one consults, and more!

International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLCs)

Kenneth Toff, DO FAAP FACOP IBCLC

Kenneth Toff is the first Lehigh Valley Pediatrician to be designated an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).  He is also a member of the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine (ABM), International Lactation Consultant Association (ILCA), and United States Lactation Consultant Association (USLCA).

Dr. Toff is also qualified to care for and perform frenotomies for children with tethered oral tissues (tongue and lip ties), as a member of the International Association of Tongue Tied Professionals (IATP).  Dr. Toff is a strong breastfeeding advocate, providing all new mothers with breastfeeding guidance and support to ensure the lifelong benefits of breastfeeding for both mother and baby.

Laurie Cohen, DO FAAP IBCLC

Laurie Cohen initially completed her breastfeeding training with Healthy Children's Center and became a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC).  She later became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine. 

Dr. Cohen finds great satisfaction is knowing her pediatric patients have a great basis for lifelong health when breastfeeding is initiated in the newborn period. Dr. Cohen feels there are few things more rewarding than helping a mother with her breastfeeding/pumping experience.

Lydia Boateng, MD FAAP IBCLC

Dr. Boateng or “Dr. Lydia” as she prefers to be called, attended the University of Science and Technology in Ghana, West Africa, and completed her Pediatric Residency at East Tennessee State University. She then completed a fellowship in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at Duke University in North Carolina. She is board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, as well as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).

Dr. Lydia is a mother of three children herself, so she can relate to all the concerns of motherhood. When not seeing patients, she loves spending time with her friends and family.

 
 

Ronee Welch, BS IBCLC

Ronee Welch holds a dual BS in marketing and management from DeSales University. She is an IBCLC, and holds many other certifications as well: pediatric and adult sleep, infant massage educator, parenting coach, postpartum doula, pre/postnatal nutrition coach, health & lifestyle coach, business mentor, and CPR instructor. She is a board member and Eastern Regional Director (USA) for the Association of Professional Sleep Consultants, as well as being a member of the LV Breastfeeding Coalition.

​Ronee is passionate about educating parents/adults and parents-to-be about the importance of lactation, sleep, nutrition, stress-management and more for both children and adults. You will find Ronee running our support groups, teaching infant massage classes, as well as teaching our CPR classes!

She resides here in the LV with her husband and 4 wonderful children, from preteen through adult, including twins. When she’s not busy helping families with lactation at our office, you’ll find her working with her other clients, supporting her children at their sporting events, continuing her own education, tending to her pets (1 dog, 2 bunnies, indoor and outdoor fish), gardening, and cooking.


 

Megan Carnes, RN IBCLC

Megan is a registered nurse and an IBCLC. Megan grew up in Carlisle, PA, and obtained her BSN from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania. Megan worked as a bedside NICU RN for 14 years before earning her IBCLC in 2021. She then worked as a bedside IBCLC for two years before joining our team in April.

You will see Megan teaching our newborn care and breastfeeding classes, and she is passionate about supporting and educating new families. Megan is married with three young kids, and enjoys swimming in their pool all summer long!
